Bringing Math and Science Education Up to Speed

Rich M. – Principal

An educator at heart, Rich firmly believes in the power of education and that each individual has the ability to learn.  He takes pleasure in helping each student realize their potential and achieve their educational goals.

Rich has a unique background which includes educator, trainer, and engineer.

He was an adjunct faculty member at DeVry University and the University of Phoenix.  He taught mathematics, critical thinking, and total quality management to students enrolled in electrical engineering technology, information technology, and business curriculums.

He instructed technicians and mechanics during his career in the electric power generation industry.  After a fair amount of time conducting classes in person, he became the learning management system (LMS) administrator for the fleet.  He created course content and conducted classes in a virtual environment.

Prior to becoming an instructor in the industry, he first applied his engineering education to field operations and maintenance work in power plants.

Rich pursued teaching and technical training because he wanted to help students develop the math, science, and analytical skills he knows they need to pursue and succeed in technical careers.  He relies on his 18 years of teaching experience, 14 years of industrial training experience, and a 30-year career in industry to make these subjects and their applications understandable.

Rich was recognized by his colleagues at University of Phoenix on his 15-year anniversary for his dedicated service to the students and campus educational initiatives.  Student and administration evaluations noted his focus on improving student outcomes and his teaching style were very beneficial to the educational experience of the students.

Rich earned his Master of Mechanical Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York, NY.

He looks forward to serving your math and science educational needs.
